บทความ: การใช้ Present Perfect Tense (ปัจจุบันกาลสมบูรณ์) ในภาษาอังกฤษPresent Perfect Tense หรือ “ปัจจุบันกาลสมบูรณ์” เป็นกาลที่ใช้บ่อยมากในภาษาอังกฤษ โดยเฉพาะเมื่อต้องการพูดถึงเหตุการณ์ในอดีตที่ยังมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับปัจจุบัน หรือข่าวสารล่าสุด ที่เพิ่งเกิดขึ้นและยังส่งผลอยู่ในขณะนี้โครงสร้างประโยคSubject + has/have + Past Participle (V.3)

• I / You / We / They → have + V.3
• He / She / It → has + V.3

ตัวอย่างพื้นฐาน

• I have finished my homework. (ฉันทำการบ้านเสร็จแล้ว)
• She has just arrived in Bangkok. (เธอเพิ่งมาถึงกรุงเทพฯ)
• They have lived here for 10 years. (พวกเขาอยู่ที่นี่มา 10 ปีแล้ว)

การใช้งานหลักของ Present Perfect Tense

1. เหตุการณ์ที่เพิ่งเกิดขึ้นและส่งผลต่อปัจจุบัน (Recent actions with present results)
   มักใช้กับ just, already, yet, recently, so far
   • I have just eaten lunch. (ฉันเพิ่งกินข้าวเที่ยงไป)
   • The train has already left. (รถไฟออกไปแล้ว)
2. ประสบการณ์ในชีวิตจนถึงตอนนี้ (Life experiences up to now)
   มักใช้กับ ever, never, before
   • Have you ever been to Japan? (คุณเคยไปญี่ปุ่นไหม?)
   • She has never eaten sushi before.
3. เหตุการณ์ที่เริ่มในอดีตและยังดำเนินต่อมาถึงปัจจุบัน (Actions started in the past and continue to present)
   มักใช้กับ for, since
   • We have known each other since 2015. (เรารู้จักกันตั้งแต่ปี 2015)
   • He has worked at this company for 5 years.
4. ข่าวสารล่าสุดหรือการประกาศ (Giving news / announcements)
   • The Prime Minister has announced new economic measures.
   • Scientists have discovered a new species of dinosaur.
5. จำนวนครั้งที่เกิดขึ้นจนถึงตอนนี้ (How many times up to now)
   • I have visited Phuket three times this year.

การใช้ Present Perfect Tense ในข่าว (ตัวอย่างที่พบบ่อย)ในข่าวภาษาอังกฤษ (โดยเฉพาะ BBC, CNN, Reuters) มักใช้ Present Perfect เพื่อนำเสนอข่าวล่าสุด หรือ “Hot News” เพราะมันทำให้ข่าวดูสดใหม่และยังเกี่ยวข้องกับสถานการณ์ปัจจุบันตัวอย่างที่พบบ่อยในข่าว:

1. ข่าวการเมือง
   • The President has signed a new trade agreement with China. (ประธานาธิบดีได้ลงนามในข้อตกลงการค้าระหว่างประเทศกับจีนแล้ว)
   • Thailand has elected a new prime minister after months of political uncertainty.
2. ข่าวภัยพิบัติและสุขภาพ
   • A powerful earthquake has struck southern Turkey, killing hundreds. (แผ่นดินไหวรุนแรงถล่มทางใต้ของตุรกี ส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตหลายร้อยคน)
   • The World Health Organization has warned that the new virus variant has spread rapidly across Europe.
3. ข่าวเศรษฐกิจและธุรกิจ
   • Oil prices have risen sharply following the latest conflict in the Middle East. (ราคาน้ำมันพุ่งสูงขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็วหลังความขัดแย้งล่าสุดในตะวันออกกลาง)
   • Apple has announced record profits for the second quarter.
4. ข่าวกีฬา
   • Manchester City have won the Premier League title for the fourth consecutive season. (แมนเชสเตอร์ ซิตี้คว้าแชมป์พรีเมียร์ลีกสมัยที่สี่ติดต่อกัน)
   • The Thai national team has qualified for the next round of the Asian Cup.
5. ข่าวอาชญากรรมและเหตุการณ์ด่วน
   • Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the bank robbery. (ตำรวจจับกุมผู้ต้องสงสัยสองคนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการปล้นธนาคาร)
   • Rescue workers have found more survivors from the collapsed building.
6. ข่าววิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
   • NASA has successfully launched its new Mars mission. (นาซาส่งยานสำรวจดาวอังคารภารกิจใหม่สำเร็จแล้ว)
   • Researchers have developed a new vaccine that has shown promising results in clinical trials.
7. ข่าวบันเทิง
   • The famous Hollywood actor has confirmed his engagement to his longtime girlfriend.
   • Taylor Swift has broken the record for the most streamed album in a single day.

สรุปPresent Perfect Tense เป็นกาลที่ช่วยให้เราสื่อ “ข่าวล่าสุด” หรือ “สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นและยังเกี่ยวข้องกับตอนนี้” ได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติมากที่สุด ในข่าวมักใช้เพื่อเริ่มเรื่องหรือประกาศเหตุการณ์สำคัญ เพราะมันสร้างความรู้สึกว่า “เพิ่งเกิดขึ้นและยังส่งผลอยู่”เมื่อเทียบกับ Past Simple (ซึ่งใช้เมื่อเหตุการณ์จบสิ้นและไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับปัจจุบันแล้ว) Present Perfect จะทำให้ข่าวดูสดและเร่งด่วนกว่า
